Influence of channel prevalent perception in the development of clinical skills of medical students

| Resumen | Introduction: the acquisition of information is different for each person, therefore, is important in medical education, the channels of perception in order to conform to the teaching practice, teaching strategies that improve academic performance and professional student. There should be considered educational methodologies that promote student reflection and critique of topics and the recovery of the experience for the development of knowledge, which are crucial for the acquisition of clinical skills. Objective: to compare the degree of development of clinical skills of students at the end of the eighth semester of medicine according to their predominant perception channel. Methods: prospective, comparative, and cross-sectional study in 88 students graduated from the medical career, which was applied to two validated measurement tools previously. To analyze the results we used the ANOVA way test. Results: the channel was predominant kinaesthetic perception. In relating the variables under study, there was no statistically significant difference (p = 0.699). Conclusions: the predominant channel of perception, does not influence the degree of development of clinical skills at the end of the career. | es_ES |
