Abstract
This article explores the plurality of masculinities in Yuri Herrera's work. Through a critical analysis of his novels, it examines how the author constructs a mosaic of masculinities that oscillate between hegemonic power and anti-hegemonic resistance. The study draws on theoretical contributions from Connell (2004), Kimmel and Aronson (2003), Fuller (1998, 2012), Viveros Vigoya (1997), Gutmann (1998) and Nunez Noriega (2016). The author's narrative contributes to the global discussion on new models of masculinities, using his work to rethink gender roles in literature within the Latin American tradition.
