Influence of the German linguistic science in the Madrilenian School of Menéndez Pidal
Abstract
The philological School Menéndez Pidals was found in Madrid in 1910. This year also appeared the Centro de Estudios Históricos, where the Spanish academic world tried to recover lost ground in linguistic and philological research. The scientific works of the philological School in Madrid were strong influenced by the German philological science and it was showed on the assumption of many scientific contributions of the German researchers as basis for the scientific work in the philological School Menéndez Pidals.
