Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to determine the degree of implementa tion of the knowledge management process in two selected groups of companies of the states of Carabobo (Venezuela) and Tamaulipas (Mex ico). A nonexperimental research was developed, with a transactional correlational design, in which a questionnaire was used as instrument for recollection of information and it was applied to executives of the area of human resources or administration of 20 companies of the great indus try which formed part of a nonprobabilistic sample. From the obtained results, it can be affirmed that the various activities of the KM process are present in the administrative practice of the selected companies, and with almost no difference it can be concluded that the Venezuelan com panies have more homogenous answers and develop more activities of knowledge management than do the Mexican ones.
