DISEÑO Y ORDENAMIENTO DE LA DINÁMICA URBANA, MEDIO INELUDIBLE EN LA PRESERVACIÓN SUSTENTABLE DE LOS RECURSOS HÍDRICOS NATURALES URBANOS EN MÉXICO, CASO LAGUNAS URBANAS DEL SUR DE TAMAULIPAS (TAMPICO-MADERO-ALTAMIRA)
Abstract
The urban sprawl dynamics manifested in recent decades in Mexico, has led to major changes in the spatial configuration of the municipalities, specially on these that have territorial limitations, such as the ones involving the metropolitan area Tampico-Madero. This study focuses on the effects that the massive concentration of population, the informal settlements, the incorporation of rural to urban areas, and the merging of municipal territories, have on the degradation and pollution of sensitive natural resources such as the urban lagoons which are condemned to extinction by desiccation. Because of this it is necessary to rethink about this phenomenon and set new alternatives for a sustainable management for development and competitiveness of the city.
