Central American Migrant Women, Human Smuggling for Prostitution, and Sex Trafficking in Northeastern Mexico and the Texas Valley
Abstract
``Central American migrant women, human smuggling for prostitution and sex trafficking in northeastern Mexico and the Valley of Texas{''}, is a book written by Simon Pedro Izcara Palacios, published in November 2024 and edited in Mexico by Editorial Fontamara. This book analyzes the problems of human smuggling for prostitution and sex trafficking suffered by migrant women from Central America in the northeast of the country and in the Valley of Texas. This book concludes that these two problems do not reflect similar situations, nor can they be studied as forms of a continuum, since they imply very different degrees of violence and exploitation.
