Abstract
Knowledge Management (KM) has turned into a need for the organizations that jockey for a position in dynamic and competitive markets. The conversion of knowledge into a productive determinant resource to differentiate the organizations from their competitors has impelled the search of instruments that allow its detection, reception, transference and management. The purpose of this article is to determine the role of Work Teams (WT) in the Knowledge Management of organizations. Are Work Teams instruments that favor Knowledge Management? How do Work Teams benefit practices based on Knowledge Management? Are Work Teams necessary to implement strategies based on Knowledge Management?.
