Abstract
The article proposes a reading of the construction of young male identities in Temporada de Huracanes (2017) by Fernanda Melchor. For this reason, an analysis of elements typical of hegemonic masculinities is carried out through criminality, sexuality and homosociability. To achieve this objective we elaborate a reflection based on the contributions of Connell, Kimmel, Fuller and Olavarria. Melchor's text could serve as a manifesto for feminism because it seeks to build alliances with male readers who stand against patriarchal practices.
