ResumenObjective: to present the Situation-Specific Theory (SST): Loneliness, SelfTranscendence and Well-Being in older adults who consume alcohol and benzodiazepines. Method: Conceptual-Theoretical-Empirical Structure (CTE) technique proposed by Fawcett consisting of: (1) identification of concepts, (2) classification of concepts, (3) identification and classification of propositions, (4) hierarchical order of propositions and (5) construction of the diagram. Results: construction of a TSE through the CTE structure that allows understanding and explaining the relationship between loneliness and the different classifications of self-transcendence with alcohol and benzodiazepine consumption. Conclusion: the TSE will allow addressing alcohol and benzodiazepine use in elderly adults in a specific way through an innovative theoretical framework and future research, with the aim of being a guide to design nursing and multidisciplinary interventions aimed at secondary prevention of this phenomenon specifically in this population.es_ES
