ResumenThe article exposes the characteristics of political clientelism that affects the structure of the media in Mexico. The objective is to propose a civic model of communication in the face of the asymmetries and problems of sustainability of public and social media. Using a document review methodology integrating official and academic sources, the limitations of public media and the third sector in terms of autonomy and sustainability are highlighted.es_ES
