Abstract

University Social Responsibility has been developed according to the demands of each continent and each country, Mexico is no exception and through institutional programs the University Social Responsibility is already part of the development plans of public and private universities, the present research work aims to examine the University Social Responsibility programs and strategies contemplated in the Institutional Development Program of the University Autonomous of Tamaulipas and its effectiveness in solving social and community problems within the State of Tamaulipas, the methodology will be qualitative exploratory, which will carry out the review of official documents and analysis of impact in benefited communities presented in reports or scientific articles, the expected results sought are a diagnosis of the fulfillment of social commitments or the progress of the university and the Institutional Development Program as well as recommendations to improve interaction with society.
