ResumenThe native ant Solenopsis geminata (Fabricius, 1804) is a continuous pest of manzano pepper plants (Capsicum pubescens Ruiz and Pav.) cultivated in the northern highlands of Puebla, Mexico. This is the first report of S. geminata substantially affecting planations of manzano pepper in disturbed mesophyll rainforest of Mexico. This study is the first step toward further strategies to control this species of fire ant.es_ES
