New and Remarkable Distribution Record of Proctophana basalis Lacordaire1 in Northeastern Mexico

ResumenComposition of the subtribe Megalostomina (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae: Cryptocephalinae: Clytrini) was reviewed, and Coleothorpa Moldenke and Coleorozena Moldenke are recognized as valid genera, rather than as synonyms of Coscinoptera Lacordaire. The leaf beetle Proctophana basalis Lacordaire was recorded for the first time at Tamaulipas, northeastern Mexico. This extends the known distribution of the species 600 km to the north of the previous northern-most record. Ecological data and environmental characteristics were provided from the habitat where the species was collected.es_ES
