Abstract

This research analyzes the capacity of the Tamaulipas business sector to transition toward a circular economy, considering drivers such as social pressure, green economic incentives, and business attitude. A validated questionnaire was administered to 615 companies using a quantitative, cross-sectional approach with structural equation modeling (SEM). Reliability, validity, and moderation tests were conducted. The results show that social pressure, green incentives, and attitude positively influence the capacity for a circular economy. Evidence is provided to strengthen public policies, business strategies, and collective actions toward sustainability.
