Abstract

Introduccion : La Organizacion Mundial de la Salud (2014) reporta en America Latina hasta un 25% de menores de 19 anos afectados por sobrepeso y obesidad. En Mexico existe hasta un 35.8%. Objetivo: fue evaluar una intervencion educativa efectuada por enfermeria sobre aspectos nutricionales en adolescentes con obesidad y sobrepeso en una escuela publica de Cd Victoria. Metodos: a traves de un estudio cuasi-experimental con 54 estudiantes conforme a lo dispuesto en la Guia de Practica Clinica sobre Intervenciones de Enfermeria en la prevencion del sobrepeso y obesidad en ninos y adolescentes en el primer nivel de atencion mediante muestreo probabilistico por conveniencia.  Resultados: Antes de la intervencion el 64.8% contaban con bajo nivel de conocimiento. En la post-intervencion el 46.2% obtuvo conocimiento excelente y 48.1% mejoro su conocimiento de regular a bueno. Conclusiones: Por lo que se concluye que la intervencion educativa es una estrategia efectiva para fomentar el autocuidado de la salud a traves de la Enfermeria escolar. Objectives: In this situation, our objective was to evaluate an educational intervention carried out by nursing on nutritional aspects in adolescents with obesity and overweight in a public school in Ciudad Victoria. Methods: a quasi-experimental study with 54 students as provided in the Guide to Practice clinic on Nursing Interventions for the prevention of overweight and obesity in children and adolescents in primary care by probabilistic convenience sampling. Results: Preoperatively 64.8% had low level of knowledge. In the post-intervention, it gained 46.2% 48.1% excellent knowledge and improved their knowledge fair to good. Conclusions : that the educational intervention is an effective strategy to promote self-care through nursing school.
