Abstract

Larvae of the sawfly, Monoctenus sanchezi Smith, are phytophagous on white cedar (Juniperus flaccida Schlechtendal). We report for the first time Zelus tetracanthus (Sta.l) and Pselliopus zebra (Sta.l) (Hemiptera: Reduviidae) and Copestylum caudatum Curran (Diptera: Syrphidae) as predators of the sawfly, which constitute new host records and extend the distribution in Mexico.
