Abstract

This paper presents a design of a 6-element Time Modulated Circular Array with suppressed unwanted harmonics. The beamforming network consists of three power dividers, one fixed phase-shifter and six RF switches. Harmonic suppression was done by feeding half of the antennas with the phased-shifted time-modulated signal, and by calculating the corresponding time sequences for each RF switch. With this approach, the beamforming network is simplified while obtaining multibeam capacity, with a steered beam on the first positive harmonic pattern.
