Abstract

The quality of education plays a fundamental role in preparing individuals to face the challenges of today’s society; Therefore, educational quality is not only about providing knowledge, but also about designing and executing effective strategies that ensure meaningful, inclusive and equitable learning for all students. The objective of this work was to analyze the strategic management of educational quality, particularly the impact of certification of the teaching-learning process on the failure rate of university students. A descriptive study was followed, using a pretest-posttest design. The data was collected through the transcripts of the Academic Secretary’s file of 1812 university students of the Surgeon Degree of the Autonomous University of Tamaulipas. The results allowed to determine that there is no significant difference between the general average of the students before and after the certification of the process. It is concluded that strategic management is essential in educational quality processes that is affected by technological advances and the growing demand for relevant skills.
