This research aimed to analyze the development of these competencies in high school students dependent on the Autonomous University of Tamaulipas in Mexico, focusing on the necessary legal guidelines. A quantitative, sequential and exploratory approach was adopted, logically structured based on the objectives, research questions and a hypothesis formulated from data collected from the Mante High School. In addition, the continuous pedagogical training that its teachers have received as part of teacher updates was considered. The evaluation instrument was adapted and approved by the teachers of the Information and Communication Technologies I subject. As a result, most of the objectives of the subject’s competencies are being developed; of the 8 competencies, 3 of them were developed, 5 are in process and none have been neglected. In conclusion, valuable information is provided for managers and teachers, strengthening the teaching-learning process and improving the integration of technological skills in the educational field.
