Abstract
Currently, human resources have become the main engine of organizations, as they are in charge of raising levels of quality and competitiveness that impact users; in such a way that it is essential to protect them in all aspects related to said resource. The analysis of the influence of the job satisfaction of the administrative staff of the central administration of a Higher Education Institution on the organizational citizen behavior was carried out. We worked with a sample of 169 trusted administrative employees from the Autonomous University of Tamaulipas, in Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas, Mexico. The collected data were captured in the SPSS version 24 program to obtain statistical data and perform advanced information analysis and interpretation of each variable. The results showed that there is a strong and significant relationship towards the dependent variable, organizational citizen behavior. Thus, pointing out that high levels of job satisfaction have a positive and relevant influence on organizational citizen behavior, evidencing the need to generate a job commitment by administrative staff, which together with high levels of job satisfaction can achieve a optimal citizen behavior for the institution.
