Abstract
Organizations are immersed in constant transformations, derived from human capital and new technological trends, requiring employees to perceive an organizational climate that allows them to generate positive results to achieve goals. The objective of the research was to validate an instrument that allows evaluating the perception of the organizational climate in Higher Education Institutions, specifically the opportunities for improvement to establish the necessary conditions for efficient performance in achieving the objectives. The methodology used was a quantitative, descriptive, non-experimental, cross-sectional approach, developing an instrument to measure the perception of the organizational climate in academic units. This instrument was designed based on the literature review of the dimensions: Leadership, interpersonal relationships, participation, sense of belonging, communication, which impact on the perception of the organizational climate. Content validity was determined with experts from the human resources area, and reliability with Cronbach’s Alpha, applying a pilot test to 55 employees. The results showed that the instrument is valid and reliable to be applied since the statistical values of Cronbach’s Alpha were higher than 0.7 and approved by all the experts. It was concluded that the instrument generates trust and representativeness.
