Crisis communication in the face of job insecurity in organizations
Abstract
In public and private organizations there is an interest in the search for new crisis communication strategies, although this may be presented as unforeseen, it is a type of situation that affects the interests and reputation of the organizations. The purpose of this research is to reflect on the theoretical knowledge of crisis communication in the face of job insecurity, particularly the actors who intervene in communication processes and working conditions are taken into consideration, taking as a reference the legal guidelines in labor matters. The methodology consisted of the analysis of theoretical and empirical documents. The results show that crisis communication is supported by key administrative units of the organizations and is linked to public relations and inter-institutional cooperation, which is related to external elements that are often linked to decrees as well as institutional guidelines. imposed by the national government, generating negative influences on work processes and consequently on workers’ working conditions. It is concluded that crisis communication plays an important role in the job insecurity of organizations, by establishing dissemination processes to preserve the reputation of the company.
