Abstract
According to the literature review, to implement successful gamification processes of learning, it is necessary to know the personality types of gamers who dominate the audience. The Bartle test is an instrument widely used by video game designers that identify four Gamer personalities: Achievers, Explorers, Socializers, and Killers. Due to its limitations, the Bartle Test has been improved by updating the items and modifying the structure of questions using the Likert scale, so that the results objectively represent the types of dominant gamers and the ecosystem of the current games. The new Test was developed in a Web platform, to facilitate its application and obtain immediate results, which allow making decisions about the elements to be used in the design and development of gamification processes of learning. This paper describes the methodology used for the modification of the test and presents results of its application in a pilot group. Copyright
